Facelift 2020: Act Local
2020 was a challenging year for everyone. For the first time since the founding of Yosemite Facelift, we had to abstain from gathering in Yosemite National Park for our annual clean up event. Instead, we called on our vibrant community of passionate volunteers to go out into their own communities and make an impact there.
We asked folks to visit their local crags, neighborhood parks, or even just their own backyards and pick up trash. During this challenging time we wanted to encourage stewardship of all our natural spaces, and give our volunteers something tangible and positive to do while in quarantine.

Each day we asked our volunteers to go outside (while social distancing) and pick up trash in their local communities. Every evening we streamed our evening programs on our Yosemite Facelift YouTube channel at 5:30pm PDT Tuesday through Saturday and 5pm PDT on Sunday.
We did our best to bring the community together (remotely!) for some unique and inspiring films. We want to thank our speakers and filmmakers for bringing together these excellent evening programs.
