Tell the Story
Yosemite Climbing History Museum & Gallery
Become a Museum Docent or Program Leader!
The Yosemite Climbing Museum & Gallery hosts the world’s largest archival collection of Yosemite climbing artifacts and memorabilia. Located in Mariposa, CA - the gateway to Yosemite National Park - it tells the story of modern climbing in Yosemite through exhibits and photography. If you’d like to be a part of sharing this important chapter of Yosemite’s history with the local community and visitors from all over the world, please consider joining us.
Museum Docents staff the visitor desk, answer questions, provide an introduction to the exhibits, and help us fund raise through the operation of Museum Gift Shop.
Program Leaders share their passion and knowledge of Yosemite’s climbing history. Depending on their area of interest, they may conduct individual or small group tours, provide educational activities for school groups, or host evening or special programs.
