The presenting partner for the New River Gorge Facelift is The New River Alliance of Climbers (NRAC). This local climbing organization exists to preserve and promote access to climbing areas and to conserve climbing resources in the New River Gorge and surrounding areas.
This year’s project will focus on preserving and rehabilitating one of our favorite climbing and swimming areas near the New River Gorge, Whipporwill, at Summersville Lake, WV.
We'll continue the work that NRAC has begun by filling in the gabions along the shoreline with rocks and picking up trash on shore and in the lake bed.
Volunteers will receive complimentary breakfast, dinner, drinks, and a chance to win some sweet gear!
